Ice Avenue Cafe: Trying Korean Halo-halo for the first time

When you’re a foodie you always hunt newly opened food stores, cafes and restaurants in your area. It’s not summer but we need a place to cool off ourselves after playing badminton. So, we hit up the new Korean Cafe in Bacolod City – Ice Avenue Cafe.

Ice Avenue is located at Door #3, Hilado Building, 19th Lacson Street, Bacolod City. The place is very cozy and very nice to chill out after school or after work.

Korean shaved ice dessert is called Bingsu with sweet toppings such as chopped fruits, condensed milk, fruit syrup and Azuki beans. Ice Avenue has four kinds of Bingsu, the Mixed Fruits Avenue, Mango Avenue, Chocolate Avenue and the Oreo Avenue Bingsu.

We ordered the Oreo Bingsu which is one of their best seller and the chocolate iced drink. The bowl of this dessert is good for 2-3 persons and will cost you about Php 150 – 180 per bowl depending on the flavors you order.

Chocolate Iced drink

The dessert we had really did satisfy our thirst because of the amazing milk shaved ice that dissolves inside your mouth with a sweet taste. It is really different compared to our Pinoy Halo-halo with bits of crushed ice. They also serve cakes and frappes, coffee and rice meals.
